Bicycles and Scooters

Children at Richmond North may be given permission to ride to school with the understanding that they observe the defined road rules and the special school bicycle rules listed below. Children under nine shouldn’t ride bikes to school without parental supervision as they lack the skills to be safe riders.

   •    All riders must wear approved bike helmets.
   •    All riders must obey road rules.
   •    All bikes must be parked and secured in the school bike racks.
   •    Bike racks are out of bounds during the school day.
   •    Bicycle helmets are to be kept in the class hat room during the school day.
   •    No bicycles are to be ridden in the school grounds at any time.
   •    Bicycle riders living on the river side of Grose Vale Road and on the Grose Vale side of 
       the pedestrian crossing may leave the school via the front gate providing they allow 
       pedestrians to exit first. All other bicycle riders must exit via the double gate on 
       William Street or the gate on William Street. 

Although every care is taken, no responsibility is accepted for bikes brought to school.
 

 

Book Club

How to order from the Scholastic Book Club

Your child will bring home a Book Club catalogue from school. Order online via the Scholastic Australia LOOP website or app and the school will take care of the rest.

The books are delivered to your child’s classroom. If you wish your book club to be collected from the front office, please call 6142 2570.

Every purchase you make earns our rewards that teachers and the library can redeem for items from which the whole school benefits from.

Buses and Bus Passes

​

Free bus travel is currently available to all Infants children and to any Primary children who live more than 1.8 km from school. Details of conditions for eligibility and application forms are available from the school administration staff.
