Parent Organisations
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The school P&C meets in the staffroom at 7pm on the third Tuesday of every month. There are no meetings held during the school holidays. The P&C is actively concerned with the interests of the school and organises fundraising events throughout the year. Your active support for both the meetings and events would be most welcome.
Canteen Committee and Operation of the Canteen
The canteen operated under the control of the school P&C Canteen Committee. The profits from the canteen assist in providing resources for the school as well as paying for the upkeep and maintenance of the canteen itself.
The canteen operating hours vary depending upon volunteer assistance. Information regarding current operating hours are displayed on the school website and are also advised through the school newsletter. On the days that the canteen is open, students may order their lunch from the canteen menu and are also able to purchase a range of snack foods at breaktimes. The current canteen menu is also available for viewing and download form the school website.

Pedestrian Crossings

The pedestrian crossing on Grose Vale Road is supervised by our RMS Crossing Supervisor, Mr Barrett, each morning and afternoon. In the morning the children must wait on the footpath until the RMS Crossing Supervisor has moved to the centre of the crossing and gives instructions to cross. In the afternoon all children are to wait at the school gate until instructed to cross. Children should carry balls in back packs when coming to or going home from school. Bouncing balls on the crossing or along footpaths is potentially dangerous.

Playground Supervision and Play times

All staff members on playground duty wear a fluoro yellow vest for easy identification by all children. Children are encouraged to seek help from the teacher on duty at any time.
Before School:
The playgrounds are supervised before school from 8.30am. Students are allowed to play on the equipment once there is a teacher on duty.
When children arrive at school, they can leave their bags in class hatrooms or on the bag hooks outside their class.
Children arriving by bike or scooter are asked to walk them through the school playground and put them in the bike rack area..
Recess:
All students eat their food in the designated eating areas where the rubbish and recycling bins are. They may then play on the equipment and grassed areas once dismissed by the teacher.
Lunch:
Lunch eating time is supervised by the class teachers. Classes may choose to eat in playground or classroom. At the play bell, students move outside. The oval is supervised for play at lunch time.
After School:
Playgrounds are not supervised after 3pm.
Students leave the school building and proceed to their exit gate. Teachers supervise the exit gates and will dismiss students following the bell ringing. Students who are not collected at the gate by a parent and who walk home should walk straight home after school. Students who leave on a bike or a scooter should walk through the school playground. Students crossing Grose Vale Rd must cross at the supervised crossing.
From 3:15pm any students remaining will be brought to the front office area and parents will be rung.
Wet Weather:
During wet weather, students are supervised in their classrooms by teaching staff.
