Volunteers

There are many avenues for interested parents to help in the school. Parents gain greater involvement in school activities by attending P & C meetings where they have the opportunity to contribute to important decisions that impact on the school and students.
Parent volunteers regularly assist in various school activities such as canteen, reading, gross motor, fund raising, athletics and swimming carnivals. Assistance provided by parents is always welcome. Contact the school office or classroom teacher if you are available to assist.
Some parents may wish to take on a more involved role in the school by becoming a Parent Tutor or by becoming a Gardening Mentor. Parent Tutors receive special training to assist students experiencing difficulty in reading or maths. This is a very rewarding role. Gardening Mentors supervise and guide small groups of students to complete tasks in the School Kitchen Garden.
Parents volunteering at school will require a 'Working with Children' check to be completed.
